ACM SIGACCESS BEST PAPER AWARDS
Two ACM awards are given for technical paper submissions.
SIGACCESS Best Paper Award
This year's Best Paper Award was awarded to the paper:
Shiri Azenkot, Kyle Rector, Richard Ladner and Jacob Wobbrock, PassChords: Secure Multi-Touch Authentication for Blind People
The SIGACCESS Best Paper Award is presented to the individual(s) judged by an awards committee to have written the best paper appearing in the ASSETS conference proceedings. Recipients are presented with a certificate from ACM at the conference.
SIGACCESS Best Student Paper Award
This year's Best Student Paper Award was awarded to the paper:
Ha Trinh, Annalu Waller, Keith Vertanen, Per Ola Kristensson and Vicki L. Hanson
iSCAN: A Phoneme-based Predictive Communication Aid for Nonspeaking Individuals"
The SIGACCESS Best Student Paper Award is presented to the individual(s) judged by an awards committee to have written the best student paper appearing in the ASSETS conference proceedings. To be considered for the Best Student Paper Award, the student must be the first author.
Selection Process
Based on the technical paper reviews, the Program Chair selects a shortlist of best paper candidates. These are discussed and reviewed by a selection committee drawn from the program committee. Membership on this selection committee is limited to those who have no conflict of interest with the shortlisted papers, as defined by the ACM SIGACCESS Conflict of Interest Policy.
